Ardhangini (1959)

The moment Chayya is born her mother dies in an accident and her house burns down and her father brings her up with lot of love but she is outcast by her friends and society for her ill luck. Chayya enters an age of marriage and when they learn about her luck they reject her. Chayya's father dies of heart attack upon this shock and Chayya leaves to live with her friend Leela and her family. Leela and her mother in law introduce her to Prakash who is an air force pilot, who falls in love with her. Prakash plans to introduce her to his family and upon seeing his mother who was the woman who had rejected she leaves unannounced. Prakash learns about her past but convinces her to marry him and live with him. They get married but Chayya gets mistreated by her family, and things turn worse when Prakash's plane goes missing!
