American actor Dermot Mulroney was born on 31st of October, 1963 at Alexandria, Virginia. He was discovered by a talent agent around years ago at his university and is famous for his roles in the movies - Young Guns, Samantha, Where the Day Takes You and My Best Friend's Wedding. He had attended Maury Elementary School and played cello in school and city youth orchestras, as well as acted in children's community theater. Mulroney is a trained cellist and he plays with the scoring orchestras on many films for Academy Award winning composers such as James Newton Howard and Michael Giacchino. He had married actress Catherine Keener in 1990 and has a child with her named Clyde Keener Mulroney after which they separated in May 2005. He had played the cello in the film 'Samantha', where he portrayed a college student studying music alongside Martha Plimpton. Mulroney's younger brother Kieran Mulroney is also an actor and both of them have starred in the comedy movie 'Career Opportunities'. He has played the love interest of Zooey Deschanel, 'Russell', in the Fox series New Girl. He is currently married to Tharita Cutulle and has two children with her.
