In 1971, Carlos is a seventeen-year-old youth living in Buenos Aires. As a young boy, he coveted other people's things, but it wasn't until his early adolescence that his true calling -- to be a thief -- manifested itself. When he meets Ramon at his new school, Carlos is immediately drawn to him. He starts showing off to get Ramon's attention. Petty crime gives way to violence as their misdeeds become more deadly, eventually leading to Carlos becoming the longest- serving prisoner in Argentina's history.
