Ennum Nanmakal (1991)

Liberally laced with laughs, this women-centric romantic drama delves into the struggles and successes in the lives of three women. Radha Devi (Santhi Krishna) is an office assistant working in the city of Kozhikode. She is in love with the unemployed Sivan (Jayaram). Radha Devi moves to Satyavathiyamma's (KPAC Lalitha) home as a paying guest along with two friends, Indu (Saranya) and Rama (Sari). Indu is the head of the housekeeping staff in a hotel; Rama is an associate editor of a magazine and is a feminist. They meet the irascible Dr. Anirudhan (Sreenivasan), a widower with a baby girl. Meanwhile Sivan suffers due to unemployment and financial difficulties. His self-esteem is questioned by his sister-in-law Devaki (Kanakalatha) and Radha's uncle (Sankaradi). As a result, Sivan finds himself forced to break up with Radha as Radha becomes close to Dr. Anirudhan and his daughter. Will Radha and Sivan find a way to resolve the issues in their relationship or will Radha choose to marry Dr Anirudhan and become a mother to his young daughter?
