Gudumba Shankar (2004)

Gudumba Shankar is a casanova. He is a small time thief who makes his living by arresting people. On an occasion when he is travelling to Mumbai, he accidentally meets Gowri. Ace serendipitous sequence of events forces them to travel together enabling a friendship built on trust. It is only later that Shankar realises that Gowri is actually a runaway who has escaped perilous circumstances, but by then they are already smitten with each other. A local thug, Kumaraswamy (Ashish) wants to marry Gowri forcibly, which is why she runs away from the home. After desperately seeking Gowri, he finds her whereabouts and takes her back to the house. Looking for a chink in his armour, Shankar finds that Kumaraswamy is extremely superstitious and he heavily depends on the astrology of Parabrahma Swamy. Shankar blackmails Parabrahma Swamy and joins the wedding house as the wedding planner along with Ali and two other buddies. Shankar tricks Kumara Swamy so that he could marry Gowri. Will the wily Shankar manage to bamboozle Kumaraswamy and escape with Gowri?
