Lekha and Shekhar face problems for getting married so they secretly get married to each other, while Lekha's friend Sushma falls in love with a stage actor who is not approved by her parents wishes to follows Lekha's method. Lekha and Sekhar face financial problems and she moves to her in-laws place in the village. Lekha faces many difficulties in the village along with two quarreling brothers and in-law issues. Lekha leaves for Bombay where she faces the challenge of living in a big city.
