Junga’s mother who is concerned about him as he now is following his ancestors' path. She tells him that his grandfather, Lingaa, and father, Ranga, were foolhardy dons, splurging money on “success parties” after a successful murder and squandering all their wealth which also included a movie hall named Cinema Paradise, which was gifted by her father as dowry. He, therefore, wows to follow his legacy and get back all the lost wealth, particularly Cinema Paradise but assures her that will not repeat mistakes made by the predecessors.

A budding Don on his first big mission -to save his theatre
on

if you want a few hours of mindless comedy to remove all your stress then this movie is for you. It has a very Ironical , sarcastic and relatable humour that reaches every member of the audience. The fact that Junga is a miserly Don rather than a profligate one not only keeps the plot (if there is one) running but also ensures a smile on everybody's face throughout the film. There is no need to mention that Vijay Sethupathi's acting was brilliant- he outshone everybody as usual.
However, some scenes got a little too overdramatic, even when keeping in mind that that was the essence of the film. The female lead Sayyesha Saigal played her part satisfactorily and her charecter was endearing.
What I liked most about the movie was the absence of vulgar jokes which is now very rare to find in Tamil movies these days.
On the whole this movie was a complete entertainer and I recommend it as a pass-time watch for the whole family.
