Trivia:
Before the film's release, there were posters put up all over Bombay saying "Ban Chunky Pandey Films". This was an anonymous publicity stunt by Chunky Pandey himself.

The film is a remake of the American movie The Star Chamber (1983).

During the filming of a song, T. Rama Rao abused Sanjay Dutt saying his mother Nargis was such a graceful dancer and Sanjay was worse than a piece of wood. Sanjay stormed off the sets promising never to work with Rama Rao again. Sanjay was angry that his mother's name was brought up in the argument.
