Mathil Mel Poonai (2013)

With non-linear narration, the movie leaps back and forth between the past and the present. The past concentrates on a group of five youngsters, who are forced by circumstance to become deeply angry. As they seethe with resentment and frustration, the pivotal role of parents and teachers in the moulding of youngsters is highlighted. The present focuses on Karthik (Vijay) who is an out-of-job software engineer. He meets Divya (Viba) after he enrolls as a driving instructor. They get married and on a trip to Divya's native place, her past catches up with her. How these two parallel narratives come together forms the crux of the movie.
