Naata (1955)

A traumatized mirpur-based woman named Beena, while hearing the whistle of an in-coming diesel train talks about the story of her impoverished family - a widowed father, and two sisters Tara and Radha. The former is engaged for over 3 years to a Dakya shravan kumar and latter is engaged to arranged to marry Lachuram chowdhury. In this scene a new postmaster enters, and takes charge of Sialkot region. He and Tara are attracted to each other and tara hopes he will marry her. During a particular situation where the postmaster is in danger of a fire accident, Radha saves him and earns the liking of his mother who vows to return. Both sisters Tara and Radha plan for the latter's marriage, not knowing that Tara's fiance plans to end her engagement to him. How will this impact their arrangements??
