Balu and Velu are best friends and copilots of a fighter craft in the Indian Air Force. When their plane crashes, Balu rescues the severely injured Velu and brings him to the home of a tribal family. Over time, Velu is healed; he falls in love with the tribal woman, Indra, marries her and they have a son together.
Just as Velu gets relieved from the air force and travels to join his family, he is shocked to hear the news that the entire area was wiped out in a natural calamity, and that his family is assumed dead. What really happened to Velu's wife and son? How will Velu move on from this tragedy? What will Balu's role be in helping Velu regain his foothold in life?
