Pattinte Palazhi (2010)

A story of blinding ambition, love and betrayal. Veena is an ambitious young singer who comes from a middle class Brahmin family. She aspires to become a successful singer, but feels her current circumstances - including her family - is holding her back. Enter Amir. He falls in love with Veena almost on first sight. He promises to help and promote her music career. She is torn - Amir is a Muslim and her conservative Hindu family will not accept this union. But her ambition takes over and she relents. Almost immediately after marrying Amir, an old friend contacts Veena with a great opportunity. She is ecstatic. Bliss, right? From here Pattinte Palazhi takes several twists and turns.
