Amudhavan's daughter Paapa is spastic. Unable to cope with this, he goes to Dubai to work. When his wife elopes, he has to return to take care of Paapa. When Paapa attains puberty, he addresses her biological needs but then loses himself and his assets in an affair with a maid. When his daughter starts exploring her sexuality, he can't bear it. Hope comes in the form of a transgender who enters their lives and helps them start afresh.
