An Indian dancer, choreographer and performer, Sridhar is trained in the classical art form of bharatanatyam. He holds a degree in engineering and is married to a fellow bharatanatyam performer Anuradha. Sridhar had entered the Kannada film industry with his debut film Amrutha Ghalige, directed by Puttanna Kanagal and has acted in over 60 films and in several languages including Kannada Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Sridhar had won the Karnataka State Government's Best Actor Award for his performance as the saint-poet Sharief, in the film "Santa Shishunala Shariefa" and also won the prestigious Nargis Dutt award from the Central Government. He had acted in national award winning movies like Manichitrathazhu and the Hindi film "Bhairavi".
