Where did you watch this movie?

In a dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided between 12 districts and the Capitol. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal retribution for a past rebellion, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors while the citizens of Panem are required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss's young sister, Prim, is selected as District 12's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart Peeta, are pitted against bigger, stronger representatives, some of whom have trained for this their whole lives.

Factual Mistake
When Katniss and Peeta are about to eat the nightlock berries, in one shot there is a wall visible in the back round.

Miscellaneous
After Katniss volunteers for Prim, it shows the crowd putting three fingers over their lips and kissing it as a sign of respect. You can clearly see a man in the crowd wearing black with a camera. This is often mistaken as a goof but remember that the 'Reaping' is being televised across Panem.

Continuity
When Katniss is turning around to show her fire dress, you can see her hair comes apart. But in the next scene her hair is nicely tucked in.

Continuity
When Katniss is walking up for the Reaping she has a bruise on her neck. In next shot it's gone.

Continuity
While Katniss is hiding from the tributes in the tree she is shown once in her sleeping bag in one shot, and out of the sleeping bag in another.

Continuity
When Katniss fires her arrow at the apples on the pile of goods, she is barely into the clearing, but as the explosion knocks her backwards, she seems to have moved forwards a couple of yards.

Continuity
After Katniss receives her first gift from the sponsors, she leaves the container slightly opened. The next morning as she is climbing the tree past that same canister, it is fully closed.

Continuity
When wounded Katniss is on the tree and receives a parachute, she takes off the lid of the can with the medicine and places it underneath it (the can). In the following scene she's holding the lid on the side of the can.

Continuity
When the tributes are riding the chariots in the parade, in the first shot, Glimmer's shawl is off of her right shoulder. When the camera cuts back to her, the shawl is back on her shoulder.

Continuity
When Katniss is trying to saw off the branch that is holding the trackerjacker nest, the nest is shown resting on another branch in one shot, then it is hanging free in the next shot.

Continuity
When Katniss hugs Peeta, her right arm crosses over Peeta's left shoulder, the following shot after, her arm is under Peeta's left arm.

Continuity
When Peeta throws the metal ball at the spears, the career tributes (Cato, Marvel and Clove) are laughing at Peeta before he throws the ball. After Peeta has thrown it, Clove has gone and Glimmer is in her place.

Continuity
After Katniss blows up the stockpile of goods, in all future shots of the same clearing there is no indication that an explosion took place, or that the mines had been dug up.

Continuity
When Katniss is seeing images on the window of her penthouse room, in the forest image, when her face is focused, there is hair in front of her left eye. But after shifting to the forest image and then shifting back to her face, there is no hair in front of her left eye.

Continuity
When Katniss talks to Rue while they eat, Katniss has a few strands of hair hanging down over her right cheek. They are no longer there in a shot of the side of her face.
Trivia:

During a New York Magazine interview, Wes Bentley said that the extremely unusual beard he wore as Seneca was styled from his own real beard, not created from applied pieces or extra hair. Bentley said that while he was in North Carolina filming the movie, he would often go to the local Target to buy things like baby formula while still sporting the "Seneca beard."

Alex Pettyfer, Josh Hutcherson, Lucas Till, Nico Tortorella, Alexander Ludwig, Evan Peters and Hunter Parrish were considered to play Peeta Mellark. Hutcherson was eventually cast, although Ludwig was later cast in the role of Cato.
