Bhooka Sher (1984)

This evocative social drama begins with Somu, a fearless young man and a dedicated union leader, ever willing to stand up against injustice and fight for the rights of his co-workers. When Rajaram, a dishonest industrialist defaults on the payment of salaries and bonuses for the workers, Somu calls for a strike. Rajaram tries to bribe Somu and buy him out, but when Somu rejects the offer, Rajaram opts to murder Somu and his children. Somu's wife, Lakshmi is left bereaved and all alone after the demise of her family, much to the shock and sorrow of her brother, Jani. When Jani attempts to retaliate and avenge the death of his sister's family, Rajaram has him thrown into prison on false charges. Upon release, Jani becomes canny. Instead of open retaliation, he uses clever tactics to get his revenge. Will he be successful in the game of guile against Rajaram?
